Autistic child and chores.

Question

My son 9 yo who has autism shows big tantrum when I ask him to do the recycling. It's hard for him to break down the boxes. He says it's not fair that he has to do it. I tell him that it is his job and he has to do it. It always finishes with a bad tantrum in his room, complaining about it's not fair. Last time I put him to bed 2 hours early but I think he does not really understand the consequence. He continues to tell me, its too difficult for him. I continue to tell him to ask me gently if he needs my help for somes boxes. Should i give him a different chore to do or continue with this one. I am near to not make dinner because i don't want to do it for him too.

Thanks.
