Question
My 3 and 5 year olds are not following instructions the first time I ask. I eventually end up yelling at them, after which, they respond. I know they can hear me, and the yelling is tiring and frustrating for us all. What are your ideas for getting children to listen the first time I ask? I am clearly doing something unhelpful to the situation.
