Question
We received a call from our 11 yo boy's school. On their tablet, he had searched Google Images using the word "suicide". This sent a flag to the IT folks and the school contacted us. We've not seen/heard anything to raise suspicions with us before, but obviously we're concerned. He tells us that all is fine. His grown brother is in the mental health field and we offered to have his speak with him or another counselor but he insists he's okay. When we asked him why he searched "suicide," he only said he didn't really know. The school counselor didn't seem concerned, but we wanted your opinion on whether this is unusual curiosity for some kids or warrants counseling. Thanks.
