Question
My four year old girl can be quite contrary and I think I am handling it poorly. For example, this morning I told her to stop talking and eat her cereal. She said, “It’s not cereal, its oatmeal.” I got upset and sternly told her to stop talking back to me. But I don’t think she understands what I meant. Should I have just ignored it? How do you explain what “talking back” is?
