Question
We would like to limit our 16 year old sons video/ cell phone time. We think homework should come first and then free time. He wants to relax after school which frequently results in homework not being done before a 7-9 p.m. practice and therefore late nights doing homework. He struggles to get out of bed. What is a fair requirement or appropriate punishment if he cannot get up in the morning and be ready on time.
On another note he takes his time with the simple tasks - like 45 showers (we have a tankless water heater where the water is always warm). We contemplated allowing 20 minutes and then shut off the water. Is this to much discipline
