Question
Hello!
I have a 12 year old son, who is homeschooled. He recently has expressed some interest in going to public school and I'm just not sure how to react to this. He's been homeschooled for his entire childhood and it's gone well. He does his schoolwork diligently and is a pretty good kid overall. I'm certain his desire to attend public school has to do with making more friends, which I can understand. But I am really not crazy about public schools...I don't like the curriculum, the social atmosphere and just the general environment. I'm sure there are some positives though.
I'm not sure if I should let him?? I want to respect his wishes, but...I just don't know. Do you have any advice?
