Question
I thought that you said when they are grounded to their room for the day that it meant no extracurricular activities either, i.e. soccer practice, dance, piano lessons, etc. We don't force our kids to play sports or anything else. We ask and they decide what they like and don't like. However, we fork out quite a bit of money for these things and I feel like when they are grounded and don't go that we are the ones being punished by paying for something they are not doing. How is this punishing them? My daughter seemed to enjoy her quiet night off last night spending the time in her room reading.
