Don't Buy Trouble...

Our 25 month old daughter fell out of her crib today. She has always been the type that doesn't know to avoid danger and is a climber, but she is TINY for her age and so we've been able to keep her contained until now. Just tonight when I put her to bed, I saw how she was able to muscle her way up the side of the crib and fall (head first!) out. Is it time to transition her to a toddler bed? This is PAINFUL to us because she is a GREAT sleeper right now, but if we need to transition her, here are our concerns. 1) She is not able to open her closed bedroom door yet, so if she does get out of bed in the middle of the night and can't get out, she will probably scream. 2) If we do the gate instead of the closed door and she screams, she'll wake her brother (almost 4) in the room next to her. Any advice before we take the plunge? I read a previous post about drawing bedtime routine pictures and when the routine is done, setting a timer, etc. I love that idea. I more need to know what to do about inevitable middle-of-the-night wakings. Any advice you have would be appreciated!
