2.5 year old Reverting After Potty Training

Question

My son is 2.5 years old (31 months). We potty trained him using your book Toilet Training Without Tantrums when he was 20 months old and it was easy. He seemed to be doing very well with very few "accidents" for the following few months. He began having frequent "accidents" a few months ago and seemed almost unable to hold his bladder for longer than 30 minutes or so. I took him to the pediatrician who checked his urine and all came back normal. We have now been battling with him for months. We have never put him back in diapers, although he has always worn pullups at night. He does not wear them during naps and wakes up wet probably 90% of the time. He has a little sister who just turned one, so she was only about 2 months when he originally potty trained. I have tried the timer and he will go when it goes off without a fight, but is almost always wet before. We tried letting him do it all on his own, and now are currently having him stay in his room except for potty and meals-room has been stripped of all toys except books. We set the timer for him to go to the bathroom every hour, and he has been wet every time! I am desperate for something to try or to figure out where we went wrong! Help!
Thanks!
