Question
I have a 6yr old boy. Only child as of now, and basically a great kid. We have noticed recently that he has been getting into trouble much more than usual, at home and at school - he is in Kindergarten. And the common denominator as determined by both his teacher and my husband and myself is that he just doesn't seem to think things through - he doesn't think about his actions/words or more importantly the consequences...he twists a friends arm at school, it hurts the friend and my son gets sent out of the room. He says something ugly about my cooking, he gets sent to his room. Its like he just doesn't think...can we make him care about the"after effect" of his actions/words. We need some better techniques than asking him "why did you do that?" or "why did you say that?"
Thank you very much!
