Replying to your response: my daughter is 12!! While 14 and 16 are fine ages to enhance their faces, a 12 year old who is immature and encouraged by biomom to look sexy isn't the issue (disgusting though it is). Our rules in our home are clear about make up -- she has really bad skin and it's absurd to exacerbate it with make up. We want to fix the acne issue first, not cover it up because everyone else is piling on the paint. My question, again, is how do we present this to her without making it an issue? We don't defer to biomom; it's not her call to make in our home.
