Question
My 2 1/2 year old son is doing well keeping his underwear dry, but he is freaked out about doing #2 on the potty. He is occasionally constipated and cries on the potty about how its going to hurt and won't go but eventually goes (painlessly I suppose) in his underwear. We've made some changes to his diet that seems to be helping the constipation, but he just isn't making the transition to pooping on the potty. He will tell us if he has to pee, but the only way you know he has to poop is if you smell it or catch him red faced in the act. When we do catch him in time, he cries the whole time, even though he is very proud of himself when its done.
