Question
We have a 6 (soon to be 7) year old daughter who does not respect the property rights of anyone in the household. She shares a room with older sis and is constantly getting into her stuff and making a mess. This makes older sis hate sharing a room with her, to say the least. We understand that we can lock up the older sister's belongings, but we can't lock up the items in the rest of the house from her. Not only does she get into things she shouldn't, she refuses to pick up. Don't know how to deal with correcting this behavior. She doesn't have much of her own toys etc to take away, and she isn't involved in any extracurricular activities due to her age and living in a rural area. She is also very stubborn and will sit in her room for hours sucking her thumb.
