Question
My husband and I do not know what to do with our 16-year-old son who is girl crazy. He is moody and depressed if he does not have someone who likes him. Whenever someone does, he conforms to their personality - music, dress, attitude, etc. When he is with our family and longtime friends of his, he is only there physically - his mind is elsewhere - clueless to conversation and situations around him. All of this is NOT like who he was prior to hitting puberty (about 2 years ago). Prior to that time, he was tuned in, interested, and generally quick-minded. We thought it was just hormones, but we are entering our third year of this "stage." He is intelligent academically, but anyone who did not know that would think he was a complete airhead.
