Question
My grandson is three and a half. He has been prone to temper tantrums for a couple of years. Lately at day care they have gotten very severe where my daughter has to pick him up. He doesn't have them every day but when he does the day care says he goes from 0 to 50 in temper. We have no idea what sets him off, and there is no calming him until he's worn out. He'll spit, scratch and hit. Family life is a happy one. We don't know how to stop the fit before it gets to 50 or how to handle him in the middle of it. Usually leaving him alone until he's done is what we do, but we are looking for a reason behind these. One of the teachers referred to him as having a circuit shorting out. My daughter is of course at the end of her rope. Any ideas would be a great help.
