It's a 2 question kind of day.
Actually, this is sort of a follow up to a question I asked months ago when my son was still 2 (he is now 3 years 2 months old). It was in regard to him saying "NO!" to me ALL THE TIME. In a nutshell, the John's advice was to have a sense of humor about it and to simply ignore it, which I did for the most part. However, my son continues to say "NO!" to everything. I tell him to get his shoes--"NO!" and he must be physically forced to do it. I tell him to get in the car-- "NO!" and he must be physically forced to do it. I tell him to pick up his toys-- "NO!" Well, you get the picture. Anyway, I try to always be mindful of using alpha speech and of communicating calmly, yet he still does this. I'm worried that if he is this strong willed at 3, what will he be at 13?
