Question
Our 20 month old son frequently yells for attention. Not because he actually needs or wants something, other than our attention, and when he gets it he is content. I am not sure how to deal with this behavior. Ignoring it doesn't work; he just persists. My husband wants to yell "NO!" and make an impression, which I don't think is a good idea, yelling at our son to teach him not to yell. My husband then asks, "well, what would Rosemond say to do?" since he knows I am a fan of your parenting methods. So, I am asking. How should we deal with this particular behavior? It is getting quite out of hand.
