Question
My six year old has recently resorted to saying extremely AWFUL things when she becomes angry at me. I am the only one she does this to. She is able to control her emotions at school and with others, as she is viewed as a "lovely child", which she usually is. She has even gone as far as saying she wants to kill me. She does not actually mean this- its shock value and button pushing . After the anger is over she feels very guilty and apologizes, but later continues to be disrespectful. For this last episode (it was the last straw) I moved ALL of her toys, etc into the attic and am making her earn them back by showing respect. We are on day 1. How do I stop this awful behavior? Please help.
