What to Do About Screaming?

Question

I have a 7 year old daughter who goes from 0-10 and screams loudly over tiny little things, and everyone rushes to her rescue (except us) when something happens. For instance, if she stubs her toe, gets soap in her eye, if I put dressing on her salad, if I tell her no, when plans change, etc. Currently she has two behaviors we are working on: keeping hands and feet to self and saying yes maam and yes sir when asked to do something and doing it, but this will be next on the list. Many times we send her to her room, but for the times when she screams over soap in her eyes what should I do? I usually say, "I want to help you, but you need to calm down first." I don't want to give her my attention when she screams because that is what she wants, but I do want to help her if she needs it.
