Question
Our 8 year old son has had some instances of badly hurting others. He's aggressively hurt kids at school twice and the school has intervened. In both instances, we have punished him at home as well (asked to apologize, wrote letter, in boring room for a week). These instances have happened months apart, but still are concerning. We have been using the ticket system for other behaviors at home and are having great success with it. Just today he and his 6 year old brother were in a physical fight away from us, as his brother was trying to get away from him and come to us he scratched the back of his neck and back drawing blood and leaving at least a 6 inch scratch. He had no concern that he hurt him, was only mad that he had consequences. He lost all tickets for that instance sent to his boring room and went to bed after dinner, not sure what else to do.
