Hello!
Our son is obsessed! Obsessed with one thing at a time to the point of not completing school work to do it. Right now it's Pokemon. He has a screen time limit - one 30 min show after school. He then has homework and then must go outside. However, we recently discovered that he has been lying to us (saying that the teacher suspended the weekly writing assignment for the rest of the year) and not completing his very simple weekly writing assignments in order to sneakily watch more Pokemon. He talks about it obsessively at the dinner table, when we are together as a family and any other time he can. He draws the characters and completes all of his English assignments at school about the characters. In short - we are reaching our wits-end with this obsession and his grades are suffering. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
