Good Afternoon,
Our five year old has changed since starting school this year. He used to be for the most part a quiet, compliant and cheerful soul to have around. If behaviour got out of hand, the block charts seemed to work.
Since starting school his behaviour has remained positive and well behaved at school and in public, but when he comes home he screams and carries on if he does not get his own way. It is very stressful especially with neighbours all around and his noise levels getting so high.
Also, how do you suggest we handle the 'I hate you' phrase being yelled at us? We are thick skinned enough to realise this is a phase and something he has picked up from school but would like to know if we should punish him for this or just ignore it. Many thanks.
