And another question...we are on day 6 and still using the gate and acting nonchalant whenever he has an accident. Reminding him poo and TT go in the potty, having him point to it as well. But he will go poo and TT on the floor and start clapping for himself and saying "yay!" Could it be that he doesn't understand poo and TT go in the potty? I really think he understands (23 mos). But he seems genuinely pleased with himself when he poos and TTs on the floor. Do we just keep redirecting him to the potty?
Everyone thinks we are crazy for potty training "so early" and I'm starting to wonder the same. Even though our daughter was trained at 22 mos, after 3 days. Trying not to listen to the "potty babble" (even from my mom), but we don't seem to be doing any better on day 6 than we were on day 1. Help!
