Question
Our teenaged daughters know they are not to borrow clothes from one another without asking. The college daughter continually violates this, taking things without asking back to her dorm and even lies about it when the sibling asks if she happens to have it. This time the older sister has stretched out a shirt to the point it that the sibling can no longer wear it. I thought it was appropriate that younger sis asked her to compensate her for it but the older sibling refuses. I'm about to step in, tell her I would enforce the same if the situation were reversed and let her know until she follows through, she won't be seeing her monthly college stipend from us. Appropriate response?
