2 yo Screamer

Question

Recently our 2 year old daughter has been screaming No at us when we tell her she cannot have something or generally not give her what she wants... we have tried simply ignoring, time out, and spanking. Just today she kept screaming No at me and we ended up putting her to bed. She doesn't play with toys a lot, but does enjoy books and puzzles, which I haven't taken away due to this problem. She also still has a pacifier and blanket. This morning we were going into eat at a restaurant and I told her she couldn't take the blanket in with us due to my hands being full with her little sister and trying to hold her hand... she stopped in the middle of the parking lot screaming. We ended up going back to the vehicle, spanking did not phase her, I ended up taking her paci and blanket.... only she got more irate... after she said she was sorry I explained that she was rude and that wasn't going to go on... then I gave her the blanket and paci back... My husband and I are needing advice on what to do to stop this behavior and also to start getting her to listen to us when we tell her something. Please help!
