Question
My daughter is 7 and has been sucking her thumb or a finger since a toddler. I have read your advice for confining to a room and am going to try it. When she sucks her thumb, she also likes to put her hand down her shirt and rub her nipple. I don't want her to be ashamed of doing this but she has no qualms about doing it in public. I would think 7 years would be an age where doing this in front of peers or strangers would bother her and it really embarrasses me. Ha, I guess that's the real problem here;) Anyway, do you think the "room" solution would work for this as well? I am not as concerned that she does it as much as I am that she freely does it wherever she is. Thank you for your advice!
