Question
When our now 2 1/2 yr old daughter was a baby, our lactation consultant recommended keeping her in our bed to minimize nighttime waking, with the idea that eventually she would spontaneously wean and want to sleep in her own bed. Well now we realize we have created a monster because weaning is nowhere in sight; she continues to wake at night and at naps to nurse like a baby. Worse is that although she likes sleeping in her own room, she wakes continuously throughout the night to nurse, so I continue to sleep with her. Even if I try to escape multiple times, she still wakes up. Help!!! We know a major scream-fest is in our future - please help us to minimize the damage.
